A lot of Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to respond to the latest comments to emerge surrounding their on-loan midfielder Joe Willock.
The 21-year-old joined the Magpies in February on a half-season long loan and has shown some incredible form since arriving on Tyneside.
Do you think Newcastle could still sign Willock?
Willock has netted seven times this season in the Premier League and six of those goals have come in his last six appearances in the league (via Transfermarkt).
However, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has discussed the midfielder’s future in his earlier press conference.
He said (via Lee Ryder): “He has grabbed that opportunity in a really positive and remarkable way and he will come back to us.”
Newcastle fans flocked to the tweet from the Newcastle journalist to show their clear disappointment and frustration at these comments to emerge.
What exactly did these Newcastle fans have to say?
“I’m not crying, your crying”
“Putting a damper on my Friday he’ll be a massive miss”
“Pain. Nothing but pain.”
“Well that’s ruined my Friday.”
“not the news I want to hear on a Friday morning”
Willock is currently valued at £14.4m by Transfermarkt but recent reports have suggested it would take a sum in the region of £25m to secure the services of the midfielder on a permanent basis.
Going by the reaction of these Toon fans it is apparent they are incredibly disappointed to hear these comments with many having not had the opportunity to watch him live at St. James’ Park.
