Newcastle United fans have been reacting to news regarding the club and their plans for the final home game of the season.

With the restrictions that have been in place all year, St James’ Park has been without fans for the entirety of the campaign.

However, that will all change for the final home game of the season when they face Sheffield United, as 10,000 fans will be allowed in to watch that game.

Newcastle's all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Alan Shearer but how many goals did he score for the club?

The club announced their plans for the reintroduction of supporters, with season ticket holders eligible to participate in a ballot process.

There didn’t seem to be much attention paid to the prices or who would be getting in, instead, the fans seemed to be focusing on the kind of reception that manager Steve Bruce would be getting given the very tense relationship that has built up over the course of the season between them and the man in the dugout:

“10 thousand people screaming at Bruce please”

“I’m a ST holder and I have been for 20 years, I’d rather scratch my eyes out than watch the current crop of absolute dross from Bruce”
“God help Bruce”
“This will come as no surprise but count me out. Whoever does go please show Bruce that he’s not a popular as he thinks he is.”
“Bruce is done for”
“Hope it gets toxic”
