Many Newcastle United fans have blasted the club’ latest tweet about pre-season friendlies.

The official Newcastle Twitter account recently tweeted the update involving the club’s pre-season friendlies, confirming that the two games will be played against York City and Harrogate Town on the 18th of July as Steve Bruce will look to split the squad into two to play both the games.

An article on the club’s website says that the squad will make their first ever visit to the new LNER Community Stadium to face York City with a 2pm (BST) kick-off on the 18th of July, but the kick off time for the game against Harrogate is yet to be determined.

This tweet about the pre-season friendlies drew the attention of many Newcastle fans, who were fuming at the news.
