A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from NUFC 360, which has relayed news from the Mail on Sunday regarding the Toon’s transfer targets and budget.

Newcastle's all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Alan Shearer but how many goals did he score for the club?

They claim that Newcastle will have £12m to spend and have identified Kristoffer Ajer, Hamza Choudhury, and Kyle Joseph as early deals they can get done.

This has drawn the attention of these Newcastle fans who are fuming.

Ritchie has been great since returning to the team, but if we could get £7M-£10M for him and bring in Willems for free as a replacement, it would be good business considering that pathetic budget.”

£12m wouldn’t buy Joe Willocks left leg. We honestly deserve relegation. What’s the point?”

@leerobson23

Surely he should just be told by the consortium spend what’s necessary them Be given the money back once completed, because 12m is embarrassing and not gonna get much these days lol”

@MarcSarg76

Do you think this will be Newcastle's budget?

Yes, seems about right

No, we have to have more

No, we have to have more

If the Toon do only have £12m to spend then, it seems unlikely they will be signing Joe Willock in the summer given Arsenal’s asking price for him.

The 21-year-old spent the second half of the season on loan at Newcastle and scored eight Premier League goals for the Toon, including seven in his last seven.

This post continued to draw in Newcastle fans who had their say.

That is absolutely appalling”

@KyleJDodd95

Wow! Almost as inspiring as Hendrick, Fraser and Gillespie”

@liammckinnon

Finished club.”

Newcastle will apparently try to sign Willock, but if the club only have a budget of £12m, you would think they would have to sell someone, or Mike Ashley would have to invest some of his own money to get Willock.

We will have to see if this turns out to be Newcastle’s budget, but it is clear that these Toon fans are disappointed.
