Yves Bissouma has established himself as one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League this season and former Manchester United winger, Keith Gillespie, who spent just two years at Old Trafford, spoke exclusively to This is Futbol about how the Brighton midfielder is good enough for Man United.

Bissouma arrived as an unknown midfielder when Brighton signed him from Lille in 2018 but the hard-tackling 24-year old has seen himself linked with a move to Man United this summer.

The Mali international has earned rave reviews this season for his tackling and ability to distribute the ball intelligently and he has won 66 of his 103 attempted tackles for Brighton.

Brighton themselves have earned a lot of praise this season for their attacking and possession-based play but it is Bissouma who allows this to happen and Gillespie spoke exclusively to TIF about how the midfielder is good enough to play for the Red Devils, he said:

I really like him. I think he’s a really good player who gets about the pitch and is comfortable on the ball.

I know there’s been talk about him – is he Man United class? I’d say he is Man United class.”
