Nice easy one to start off with, who currently sits top of the table?

On the subject of Sancho and the current transfer situation surrounding the Englishman, Romano had this to say on the matter.

He said: “At the moment, no one is officially negotiating with Borussia Dortmund, but pay attention because the timing of the deal will be key.

“So, Borussia Dortmund won’t be open to negotiate for Sancho like in late August, No, absolutely no, they want to open negotiation, only at the start of the transfer market from the beginning, like I don’t know in June or July, but not in late August because they have to find a replacement they have to make their strategy.

“So that’s it about Jadon Sancho, let’s see, for sure he was prepared to join Manchester United last summer, and he was buzzing to join Manchester United. So, I’m sure that if Manchester United will come back, offering money to Borussia Dortmund and talking with Sancho, he will be 100% happy, but, also other clubs were interested and are interested, so it’s an open race.”

Since joining Dortmund from Premier League side Manchester City back in the 2017 summer transfer window for a fee of £7.05 million, the 21-year-old, who is currently valued at £90 million, has made 133 appearances for the Bundesliga side across all competitions in which he has managed to score 46 goals and provide 62 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

TIF Thoughts on Fabrizio Romano’s comments on Sancho...

Given how close United came to signing Sancho last summer, it will be interesting to see whether or not they would be open to reigniting their interest in the winger and approaching Dortmund in trying to strike a deal for him again.

Do you think Sancho should be United's number one transfer target this summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

In our view, with current United attacker Mason Greenwood managing to score four goals in his five previous appearances for the Red Devils in the Premier League, and the fact that he is still only 19-years-old, we feel that Sancho’s potential arrival at Old Trafford could hinder Greenwood’s development at the club and impact his playing time.
