Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku could adapt at Manchester City and any Premier League club would have him, says former defender Steve Howey.

Currently, Manchester City are being strongly linked with Tottenham striker Harry Kane. However, prior, there was some talk about the Citizens potentially moving for Lukaku as Pep Guardiola looks to bolster his attack.

All things considered, it may be easier to get Lukaku out of Inter, especially following Antonio Conte’s departure.

The Italian is said to be one of the main reasons for why Lukaku joined the Serie A giants, and his exit now looks like it could have some serious ramifications on the player’s future at the club.

City could now have a golden opportunity to land the £90m-rated centre-forward and if they do, Howey has no doubt that he would be able to adapt at the Etihad.

Speaking exclusively to TIF about the concerns some may have over the Belgian’s suitability, the former City centre-back said:

“Listen, players can change. And I think if you want to play in a team, you have to adapt as well, you have to adapt to the manager’s style.

“The player [Lukaku], any Premier League team would want him.”

Throughout his career, especially during his time at Inter, Lukaku’s goalscoring record has been phenomenal. That changing, in a team like City’s, is quite simply hard to imagine.
