In an exclusive interview with This is Futbol, Steve Howey, who made 100 appearances for Manchester City, has claimed that if his former side decided to sign Kylian Mbappe over Erling Haaland, it would only enhance them as a squad.
Who should Man City sign?
Mbappe has been a longer presence on the scene at PSG having already won the World Cup and is still just 22-years old, and with his contract set to expire next summer it could prove to be a more viable option than Haaland.
Speaking on how Mbappe, who cost the French giants £165m in 2017, could only make Man City a better team but how his wages could prove to be a stumbling block, Howey exclusively told This is Futbol:
“I would imagine he is on decent money at PSG but he would only enhance Man City or any team that Mbappe joined, as would Erling Haaland.”
It has not been a great season for PSG as they were knocked out of the Champions League by Manchester City and appear to have been beaten to the league title by Lille.
