Nice easy one to start off with, who currently sits top of the table?

Sergio Aguero scored only his second league goal of the season in the win for Pep Guardiola’s side, and what a goal it was as Aguero received a pass from Benjamin Mendy and then lashed a stunning effort into the net.

The Argentine is leaving the Etihad this summer when his contract expires, but this goal showed what he is capable of, and Richards was full of praise for the 32-year-old.

He said: (11:27) “Today [Saturday], he was very sharp. He was like [the] Aguero we’ve seen.

“It’s been difficult for him this season, but today he really showed why he’s one of the best goalscorers ever.

“He just was full of confidence; it was like he had a point to prove.

“[He] gets in here, and then the touch and finish [are] just sublime [Aguero’s goal].”

Do you think Aguero should have been given a new contract?

TIF Thoughts on Aguero’s performance…

Aguero has had a tough season this year due to injury and also just not being selected, but he proved against Palace what he could do when given the chance.

This goal made it 258 for City, with 182 of those in the Premier League; he has been an incredible player for City and leaves as a legend of the club. There are still a few games left in the season as well, so we wouldn’t rule him out popping up with at least another goal before he does finally bring his City career to an end.

However, if he keeps playing like this, we can’t imagine it will be long before another side pick him up in the summer.
