First up in this Mo Salah quiz, what is his current squad number for Liverpool?

On the subject of the summer transfer window and what area the club should look to strengthen their squad in, Pearce had this to say on the matter (25:38):

“The big thing for me is further forward. That’s the big takeaway for me, regardless of what happens in the last couple of weeks, whether Liverpool get top four or not, they are an elite attacker short.

“If they’re serious about challenging for the big trophies again next season, then you have to have another option because the drop off in the output of [Sadio] Mane and [Roberto] Firmino this season has been so alarming that you need another option up there, just to ease the burden on Mo Salah, because so much of it has been on his shoulders.”

So far this season, Liverpool have won 16 out of the 34 games they’ve played in the Premier League, drawing nine and losing nine along the way, currently placing them in sixth place in the table (per BBC Sport).

TIF Thoughts on James Pearce comments on the summer transfer window…

Given how the Reds have only managed to score 57 league goals so far this season compared to the 85 goals they managed to score throughout the entirety of last season, the numbers back up Pearce’s views that there has been a drop in Liverpool’s attacking power this season and why they need to sign an elite attacker during the upcoming summer window.

In our view, an attacking player should definitely be on the club’s transfer list this summer so they can try and get closer to the top of the Premier League table next season.
