First up in this Mo Salah quiz, what is his current squad number for Liverpool?

On the subject of Konate and the current situation regarding a potential transfer to Liverpool, Pearce had this to say on the matter (25:15):

“I don’t think there’s much to run. I think it’s just really a case of we know that the discussions have gone on with the player’s representatives, it’s just a case of, as of yet, Liverpool haven’t triggered that release clause, and obviously, until that happens, then nothing is certain.

“I wouldn’t have expected that to have happened until after the end of the season anyway.”

Leipzig signed Konate back in the 2017 summer window from French side FC Sochaux on a free transfer.

Since then, the 21-year-old, who is currently valued at £31.5 million, has made 94 appearances for Leipzig across all competitions in which he has managed to score four goals and provide one assist in the process (per Transfermarkt).

If Liverpool do manage to sign Konate this summer, they will undoubtedly be hoping he can have an instant impact on the team and fix their leaky defence after having conceded 39 goals so far in this Premier League season. Which is more than the 33 goals they conceded throughout the entirety of their title-winning campaign last year.
