Fabrizio Romano has been speaking on the latest installment of the Here We Go podcast, where he revealed Liverpool ‘have an interest’ in Jadon Sancho ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

The 21-year-old winger has been in sensational form for Borussia Dortmund since arriving from Manchester City back in 2017, bagging 48 goals and provided 62 assists in just 134 appearances for the Bundesliga giants.

Sancho’s incredible performances at the Signal Iduna Park have attracted the attention of some of the continent’s top clubs and was the subject of intense interest from Manchester United last summer as the Red Devils attempted to add him to their first-team squad.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side now appear to have some serious competition for Sancho’s signature as Romano disclosed Liverpool’s interest in the England international, with Dortmund reportedly happy to sell the youngster at the right price.

He said: (12:02) “He just wants to move for a top, maybe English club, that’s the desire of Jadon Sancho and that’s why Borussia Dortmund say, ‘Okay, if an important bill will arrive this summer, we will be prepared to sell Jadon Sancho.’ What means important bid? It means around €85, 90 million, not less than €85, 90m.

“So, that’s the price, it’s totally different from €120 one year ago. So, let’s see what happens in the next weeks. At the moment, there are no official offers, or no official negotiation or negotiations yet, between English clubs, and Borussia Dortmund.

“Borussia are expecting someone to move in the next weeks because if they want to sign Sancho, they can’t arrive the last week of August and try because Borussia Dortmund won’t sell players in the last weeks of August. And so now, talking about clubs, I’ve been told that Liverpool have an interest in Jadon Sancho if they will sell some offensive players, some attacking players.

“So, let’s see what happens in the summer. But interest, yes, official bids, nothing, and official negotiation nothing. And of course, Manchester United are still interested in Jadon Sancho.”

TIF Thoughts on Sancho to Liverpool…

Two members of Liverpool’s famed front three have seriously struggled this season in the shape of Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, so Jurgen Klopp could well be tempted to ring the changes at the top of the pitch.

Dortmund’s reduced asking price for Sancho should make a transfer more likely this summer, and a move to Anfield could well be on the cards as a result.
