Leeds' all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Mark Viduka but how many did he score?

One of the topics that he spent some time on was Ezgjan Alioski’s future at the club.

The Whites have reportedly offered the 29-year-old a new contract, but he is yet to sign it and has been linked with a move to Galatasaray as his deal expires in June.

However, Smyth believes that reports that he has agreed a pre-contract agreement with the Turkish side are premature, and his future is still up in the air.

He said: “It could well have been his last game [v West Brom], but he hasn’t agreed the deal on the table. It seemed likely throughout all of this that he would go – there’s been the link to Galatasaray.

“I think, from a PR point of view, he’s made a mistake in not quashing that, if it’s not true. There have even been reports, that I believe are very premature, that he’d signed a pre-contract with them, or that he’d agreed a deal with them.”

Do you think that Alioski will leave?

TIF Thoughts on Alioski…

The North Macedonia international has been with Leeds since the summer of 2017, and if it’s his time to move on, then he has been on a great journey with the Whites and even got to play regular Premier League football.

However, if he were to join Galatasaray, then that could be a bad move given the history between the two clubs, so we hope that if he does leave, he doesn’t join the Turkish giants.

In truth, we hope that Alioski decides to extend his stay with the Whites as he has played a prominent role throughout Marcelo Bielsa’s tenure as Leeds boss, and you would think he could therefore continue to be a valuable squad player next season.
