A lot of Leeds United fans have reacted to a tweet relaying the announcement of the officials who will take charge of their Premier League clash against Burnley on the weekend.

The Premier League have confirmed the game at Turf Moor on Saturday will be refereed by Graham Scott and Darren England will be at Stockley Park on VAR duty.

Will Leeds United finish in the top half of the table?

No

Scott has officiated 11 Leeds United games as a referee and in those games, the Whites have won five and lost six with two red cards being handed to Leeds players (via Transfermarkt).

Marcelo Bielsa’s side currently occupies 10th spot in the Premier League table following their impressive 3-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

Leeds fans flocked to the tweet relaying the news and it was apparent they had been left far from impressed by the news.

“Bodes well then…”
“We don’t need this. Hopefully he doesn’t make the same mistakes again. Bet Roberts is fuming tbh, could’ve ended his career.”
Scott has only refereed one Leeds game this season which came just last month as the Whites beat Sheffield United at home in a 2-1 victory for Bielsa’s men (via Transfermarkt).

Going by the reaction of these Leeds fans it seems they are not pleased by the announcement and are not expecting to get too many decisions in their favour on Saturday.

Given how lots of Leeds fans were not happy with Scott’s decision to send off Blades man George Baldock during their clash for a tackle on Tyler Roberts that was mentioned in the tweet, it’s easy to see why these fans are too pleased to see Scott take charge of another game with Leeds.
