Leeds United Managing Director Angus Kinnear has been speaking on the latest edition of The Athletic’s The Phil Hay Show about all things relating to the Whites.
One of the topics that Kinnear spent some time on was the future of both Patrick Bamford and Marcelo Bielsa.
Bamford has been linked with a move to Liverpool, while Tottenham Hotspur are said to be interested in Bielsa.
However, Kinnear indicated that both are set to sign new deals at Elland Road.
He said: (12:38) “I think Patrick is in a good place, and we want him for the long term.
“We know there’s interest from other places. So, you know, I’m very confident about where we’ll end up with Patrick, and similarly, with Marcelo, as well.
(13:12) “I think both of their positions will be announced in the near future, and that will give everybody clarity.”

TIF Thoughts on Bamford and Bielsa…
This looks like it could be great news for the Whites with both Bamford and Bielsa extending their stay at Elland Road.
The Argentine has transformed the club, and in his first season in the Premier League, he is guaranteed to finish on at least 50 points, which is impressive.
Bamford has also had a brilliant season as he has scored 15 league goals and provided eight assists this season, and he is also the highest-scoring player under Bielsa.
So to keep both is fantastic news for the Whites, and we are sure fans will be waiting for the announcement on both as Kinnear hinted they were both done deals.
