Speaking exclusively to This Is Futbol, former Premier League manager Lawrie Sanchez expects Frank Lampard to pick Crystal Palace over most other clubs this summer.

Lampard has been out of work since being sacked by Chelsea back in January and has since been linked to a host of different vacancies.

That includes Palace, with Sky Sports claiming that the 42-year-old is one of the leading candidates to replace Roy Hodgson in the Selhurst Park dugout.

Lampard is also said to be attracting interest from Wolves following Nuno Espirito Santo’s departure, but Sanchez believes Palace being a London-based club will be a big pull for the ex-Blues midfielder.

“I think the pull of a Premier League club and a London-based one as well is massive for managers,” the former Fulham boss exclusively told TIF as he discussed Lampard’s future.

“[He’s probably] thinking, ‘Well, I can definitely keep them up because they’ve been kept up there for a few years.’ “

Wherever Lampard does end up, it looks like he’ll be forced into making changes to his backroom team.

According to the Daily Mail, the former Chelsea boss is set to part ways with No.2 Jody Morris, with Morris possibly in line to become a No.1 himself.
