Former Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie has hinted to This Is Futbol in an exclusive interview that he expects Jack Grealish to leave the Midlands club in the not too distant future.
The 25-year-old has been so important to Villa this season as their chief creator, but he continues to be linked with a move away from the club.
Is Grealish England's most talented attacker?
Without a doubt!
Not a chance!
Speaking exclusively to TIF about Grealish’s future, the ex-Villa player said:
“I actually watched the interview with Jonathan Barnett and he was talking about players, obviously Jack was one of those players. I just think, to be honest with you, I think everyone’s expecting the inevitable to happen with Jack.
“I think he’s leaving the club, to be honest. And speaking to a lot of Villa fans, I think they feel the same way about that.
“I think the writing’s on the wall.”
Given how he has performed this season, it would not be a surprise to see a team like Manchester City go all out for Grealish in the summer.
That being said, Villa are simply under no pressure to sell having tied their star man down to a new five-year contract earlier this season.
