Last summer Milot Rashica was reportedly close to joining Aston Villa and in hindsight, his creativity could’ve filled the void left by Jack Grealish during his injury and Editor-in-Chief for GetGermanFootball, Daniel Pinder, expects the Kosovan to join the Premier Leaguer this summer.

Rashica impressed lasts season as his eight goals and seven assists single-handedly kept Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga, however, this year was far less successful as he spent 89 days on the sidelines as Bremen tumbled towards the relegation trap door.

Should Villa sign Rashica?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

It is extremely unlikely that someone of Rishica’s quality will spend a season in 2. Bundesliga as Bremen could only manage to finish in a pitiful 17th in the Bundesliga and Villa have been linked with a cut-price move for the winger this summer – they could snap him up for £14m.

Dean Smith will want to add some more attacking creativity into his side so there is not an over-reliance on Jack Grealish and Pinder fully expects Rashcia to make the move to the Premier League, potentially even to Villa Park, he spoke exclusively to This is Futbol:

“It’s a bit of a tough one because he came close to joining Villa last season and I think they were negotiating a fee of around €20 million.

I do think a Premier League move would suit him and I don’t think he’ll be at Werder Bremen much longer.”

Who currently wears the number 19 shirt for Villa?

During Grealish’ extended period of time spent on the sidelines, Villa only managed to win three of the 12 games which saw their realistic hopes of a Europa League spot disappear in front of their own eyes.

Despite missing out on Europe it was still a marvellous turnaround from Smith’s side after being a broken goal-line technology decision away from going down to comfortably surviving and finishing in the top half.
