Many Leeds United fans have been talking about a news update involving Raphinha that emerged on social media.
Eurosport has recently reported about Raphinha, claiming that Borussia Dortmund are the latest club to have expressed their interest in the Brazilian.
Dortmund see Raphinha, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Jonathan Ikone as potential replacements for Jadon Sancho, with Manchester United in the driving seat to sign the Englishman. Raphinha is valued at £22.5m currently, as per Transfermarkt.
Will Raphinha leave Leeds in 2022?
This update was relayed on Facebook by Leeds United Live. Many Whites fans made their opinions clear about Raphinha.
What did Leeds fans make of the claims about Raphinha’s future?
Some of these Leeds fans don’t want Raphinha to leave in the summer and they are making their views clear about it.
The Brazilian racked up the highest Expected Assists tally for the club in the 2020/21 campaign, also picking up the fourth-highest non-penalty Expected Goals tally. He’s also third in the list for the most number of shot-creation actions per 90 minutes for Leeds (as per FBRef).
That’s a reflection of his importance to the side and the fans clearly realise his value. So letting Raphinha go after just one season may not be a sensible move.
