Leeds United fans have been reacting to the performance of Liam Cooper during their game with Southampton.
With the only thing on the line for Leeds United being a top-half finish, you could certainly forgive a couple of players for not putting in 100% effort in a game like the one at St Mary’s, with Southampton not playing for much either.
And perhaps it was due to a lack of consequences on the game, or due to the fact that this was his first game in over a month, or perhaps a combination of the two, but according to the fans who were watching on at home, captain Cooper didn’t totally seem up to the task on the south coast.
He came in for some rather fierce criticism from the supporters online for his display, even though he seemed to score fairly highly in his WhoScored rating:
“Cooper having a mare and looks like he knows it”

Perhaps these Leeds fans just have a higher barrier when it comes to what constitutes a good performance in their mind, or they have some sort of hidden agenda against their skipper.
