Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest news concerning Whites right-back Cody Drameh.
This comes after @leedsutdacademy shared a post on their Twitter page congratulating the defender for his first call-up to a Premier League matchday squad with Marcelo Bielsa side for their clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans who were quick to share their thoughts on this latest news.
So, what did these Leeds fans have to say in response to this news about Drameh?
“He’s been class in the U23’s well deserved next step first team debut”
“Proper baller. Good luck son. Huge fiture.”
“Would like to see some of them get some game time on the pitch!! Would do them the world of good!! And feom a fan’s perspective would be exciting to watch”
“Well done Cody keep knocking on that door your future looks bright”
“Wonder how good he would be at LB? Could save us £20m”
“He’s ready by the look of him, it’d be nice to give him a game. That said, Luke Ayling….”
“Great news, but won’t play”
“Looks a good player this kid. Hope him and a few others get a run out before the season ends”
Leeds signed Drameh to their U23 squad back in August from Fulham for a fee of £396k. Since arriving at the club, the 19-year-old right-back has made 21 league appearances for Leeds’ U23 side, in which he has managed to score one goal and provide two assists in the process (per Transfermarkt).
Despite the Twitter page’s claim that Drameh’s inclusion in the senior squad for the Spurs game is his first call-up to Bielsa’s side, the teenager was actually included in the squad for Leeds’ recent 2-0 defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion where he was named as an unused substitute.
Would you like to see Drameh get some minutes on the pitch this season?
This, however, does not change the fact that these responding Leeds fans seem excited about the youngster and potentially seeing him get some minutes on the pitch soon.
