David Norris has told This is Futbol that he expects £16m man Helder Costa to be sold by Leeds and Victor Orta this summer.

The talented Portuguese winger made 22 Premier League appearances for the Yorkshire outfit this season, scoring three times and adding three assists, but like when he was at Wolves, Costa has been unable to make the step-up following Leeds’ promotion last term.

Do you think Raphinha will improve at Leeds?

Costa was a regular starter in the Championship but has been restricted to just 13 in the top-flight, with Raphinha and Jack Harrison above him in Marcelo Bielsa’s pecking order, and didn’t feature in any of Leeds’ final five league matches.

He only signed a long-term deal at Elland Road 12 months ago, and has more than three years remaining on that contract.

However, Norris believes that Costa will drop back down to the Championship having failed to make the grade in the Premier League once again.

Leeds' all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Mark Viduka but how many did he score?

He exclusively told This is Futbol:

“He’s done it at the level below, and that next step up is big. Sometimes you need the right club at the right time.

“I think he will leave and drop back down – there might be that one club that he does go to, because he does have quality, and it does work out for him, but with that happening, I expect to see him move on now.”
