Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted on Twitter to a claim suggesting the club holds an interest in West Brom’s Sam Johnstone this summer.
ESPN have reported the north London side to be leading the race to secure the services of the 28-year-old in this summer’s transfer window.
Johnstone joined West Brom in 2018 from Manchester United in a deal believed to be worth in the region of £6.5m and has since gone on to make 123 appearances for the Baggies (via Transfermarkt).
Should Spurs sign Johnstone this summer?
Yes
No
The tweet drew in these Spurs fans who were clearly not too impressed by the reported news that Spurs could be making a move in the summer for a goalkeeper who has already conceded 57 goals this season.
“Yay, looking to buy a goalkeeper from a team that will get relegated. Makes sense”
“Ah the cheap option as always.”
