Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to a rumour about Julian Nagelsmann that emerged on social media.
The Daily Mail have recently reported about Tottenham’s potential replacements for Jose Mourinho, who has now been sacked as the club’s manager just days before the League Cup final. The report has stated that Nagelsmann is currently the favourite to replace the Portuguese, with Spurs considered to be admirers of the RB Leipzig boss.
Nagelsmann was considered a candidate for the job even after Mauricio Pochettino was sacked and a compensation package worth £17million is said to be required to sign him.
Do Spurs have a genuine chance of hiring Nagelsmann?
This update was relayed on Twitter by The Spurs Express. Many Tottenham fans made their views clear about the German.
What did Spurs fans make of the news about Nagelsmann?
The Daily Mail have claimed that Mourinho’s compensation package will not go over £20 million because of performance related clauses in his contract which were linked to European qualification and his £10m a season salary.
As a result, the Portuguese will leave Tottenham with less than the reported £30million compensation package.
“OH MY DAYS.”
A lot of these Spurs fans are buzzing about this rumour and it seems as if they want Nagelsmann at their club soon.
Having said that, Nagelsmann is reportedly a target for Bayern Munich to replace Hansi Flick, who will leave at the end of the season.
So if Spurs don’t act quickly, they could risk losing out on the German and they’d have to settle with someone else.
