Image for Leeds United: Fans react to Adam Forshaw image

Leeds United fans on Twitter have been reacting to a recently emerged image of Whites midfielder Adam Forshaw.

This comes after Leeds news Twitter account @AllLeedsTV shared a post on their page quote-tweeting a post from @Townend1919 that contained the image of Forshaw during a recent training session at the Yorkshire club after being out of action since September 2019 with a hip injury.

Starting with an easy one who is Leeds United's top Premier League goalscorer this season?

As this image started doing the rounds on social media, lots of Leeds fans were keen to share their thoughts on Forshaw and his apparent return to training.

So, what did these Leeds fans have to say in response to this image of Forshaw?

“IF he can maintain fitness, he’d be a very useful back up. All depends on how damaging his injury was I guess”

@MattyHill83

“Great to see him back training, nobody wants to see a player out injured as long as him. Hope he can get himself in to contention for a run out with the first team before the end of the season”

@EchidnaKid

“Best of luck to him a great lad”

@thmkn

“That looks like the “not 100%” lower intensity training group, with roddy, Pablo, Adam etc”

@EylesMot

“He’s back For-shaw”

@AllLeedsTV

One Leeds fan, however, failed to see a future at Elland Road for the 29-year-old.

“Possibly contravertial but here goes. Forshaw, love him to get back playing again but not for us. I wouldn’t drop Dallas, KP, even Klich for him. We have to be looking at higher quality in transfer market. AF, thanks but good luck elsewhere mate.”

@paulwarrick3

Leeds signed Forshaw back in the 2018 January transfer window from Middlesbrough for a fee of £4.59 million. Since arriving at Elland Road, the £2.25m-rated man has made 52 appearances for the Yorkshire club (per Transfermarkt).

Looking at these tweets from this group of Leeds fans, it seems that some are over the moon to see Forshaw back in training and continuing his recovery from his serious hip injury that has resulted in him missing over 70 games for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

Do you think Forshaw will make an appearance for Leeds this season?

Moving forward, if Forshaw can get back to full fitness before the end of the season and get some minutes under his belt in the Premier League, this would not only be a huge moment for the midfield man but would also provide Bielsa with an extra option in his squad.
