Lots of United fans have shown their delight on Twitter at the news of Morten Spencer signing his first professional contract with the Yorkshire club. 

The 17-year-old winger has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the Whites having joined the club from Sunderland in March 2019.

Spencer has made 10 appearances for Leeds in the Premier League U18 league this season and netted on two occasions with two assists also to his name. (via Transfermarkt)

However, the youngster has missed a large chunk of the season through injury but shone in their 4-3 victory against Derby County after grabbing a goal and three assists.

In response to the announcement by the official club Twitter account, fans flocked to hail the youngster and congratulate him on the achievement.

The Leeds U18 side find themselves second bottom of the Premier League U18 North table; however, the 17-year-old has now followed in the footsteps of Charlie Allen and Max Dean in signing a professional deal.

All in all, it would appear these Leeds fans are absolutely delighted at the news of Spencer signing his professional deal with some tipping him as one to watch for the future.
