Fans of Celtic football club have been reacting on Twitter after a post revealed is set to take charge of the Old Firm for the first time over the weekend.

The two Glasgow rivals are set to lock horns for the fifth time in 2020/21, with the Hoops failing to win any of the previous four meetings with their bitter rivals.

It&8217;s been a tough campaign for the Parkhead outfit, who are set to end the season trophyless for the first time since 2010. However, they’ll be attempting to extract some pride by ending Rangers’ hopes of going unbeaten throughout the entire campaign.

Here’s what these Celtic fans had to say after the Daily Record announced that Walsh is set to make his debut in the fixture.

“A poor referee? What’s this a reward for?”

“Breaking!!!! This is Huge news if true”

@SpamRogic

“Worst Ref in Scotland”

@67_Celtic_1888

“Red cards everywhere. First-time refs always want to stamp their authority on the game.”

@the_LEGEND1976

“Anything but Beaton”

@ScottBrowne52

“Funny they pull in a new ref when the season is over”

@jaimelawson08

Celtic vs Rangers is one of the biggest rivalries in football, and allowing the 30-year-old to take charge of his first Old Firm fixture without the added pressure of a crowd could prove to be a sensible decision from the Scottish FA.
