Former Premier League midfielder Lee Hendrie has told This Is Futbol in an exclusive interview that clubs in English football’s top flight would have Steven Gerrard tomorrow.

Gerrard has done an incredible job at Rangers this season, leading the Glasgow outfit to their first league title in 10 years and to the last 16 of the Europa League.

There has since been talk about Gerrard potentially succeeding Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds United, with the Argentinian’s contract set to expire in the summer. And while there does not seem to be much in that right now, Hendrie is certain such teams would welcome the Liverpool legend with open arms.

Tore André Flo is Rangers club-record signing, but how much was he bought for?

Speaking about what the future may hold for Gerrard, the ex-Aston Villa star told TIF:

“Stevie G made a big call to go to Rangers and I’ll tell you what, it paid off for him because, you know, if he becomes available again, a Premier League club would have him tomorrow because of what he’s achieved at the football club.

“It’s not easy going up there and people say it’s only Celtic and Rangers. It’s not, it’s a tough division, a tough league.”

Given that he was the man who was able to end Celtic’s dominance, it is not hard to see why clubs in the Premier League would be interested in bringing Gerrard back to England.
