Former Celtic player Frank McAvennie has recently talked about Rafael Benitez potentially managing the Hoops in the future, saying that the Bhoys should move for the Spaniard now that there are doubts about Eddie Howe.
McAvennie believes that Benitez can be a ‘great’ manager at Parkhead and him moving to Parkhead would be huge for the Bhoys.

Benitez has previously confirmed that Celtic have been interested in him in the past, but there was no official approach made for him. The Spaniard has made it clear that he couldn’t even considering the offer anyway, because he was contracted to Newcastle United back then.
The Hoops have been linked with a move for him in recent weeks too, as he was seen as a candidate to replace Neil Lennon.
Some of these Celtic fans would like Benitez at Parkhead, especially since there seems to be no movement on the Eddie Howe front.
Benitez has a history of winning multiple trophies all across Europe, which includes the Champions League and the Europa League with Liverpool and Chelsea respectively.
If Celtic have the chance of hiring such a proven manager, they should try their best to do it.
