Celtic supporters have been reacting on Facebook after a post asking them whether they’d be happy to see Vakoun Bayo depart the club this summer.

The 24-year-old Ivorian joined the Hoops from Slovakian side Dunajska Streda in a £2m deal back in January 2019 but has failed to impress throughout his time in Scotland, scoring just two goals in 17 appearances for the Glasgow giants.

After starting just one league game throughout 2019/20, Bayo was sent out on loan to Ligue 2 side Toulouse at the start of this season. However, the French club are not expected to make the deal permanent.

A recent report in the Daily Record claimed Tunisian champions Esperance are lining up a move for the forward as they seek to win a fifth African Champions League crown, leading to the Celtic Insider page asking the Parkhead faithful whether they’d be happy see Bayo depart. And it’s clear large sections of the fanbase have lost patience with the misfiring striker.

Bayo has managed just six league goals in 26 outings for Toulouse this term and seems set to join fellow flop Patryk Klimala out the exit door.
