Celtic supporters have been reacting on Facebook after a post asked them whether Karamoko Dembele deserves more first-team game time next season.

The highly-rated 18-year-old burst onto the scene back in 2019 after coming on as a half-time substitute against Hearts to make his senior debut aged just 16.

However, since his eye-catching display at Parkhead two years ago, Dembele has struggled to establish himself in the Celtic first-team, playing just 48 minutes for the senior side over the last two seasons.

The youngster had been expected to depart the Glasgow giants over the summer after his contract was set to expire after the current campaign, but recent reports suggest the Hoops appear to have triggered an extension clause, keeping Dembele at Paradise until at least 2022.

Interim head coach John Kennedy brought the midfielder off the bench against Aberdeen last time out for just his third top-flight appearance of 2020/21, encouraging the fanbase to urge the club into giving Dembele more opportunities in the future.

With Celtic already out of both domestic cups and the league title already out of reach, it may be the perfect time for Kennedy to give Dembele some game time and allow the youngster to showcase what he can do on a bigger stage.
