Fans of Celtic have been reacting to a post on Facebook, which relayed a report regarding Danny Mills’ comments concerning the future of Celtic-linked manager, Eddie Howe.
According to Mills, speaking recently to Football Insider, Howe “may be just waiting to see what other jobs” become available before deciding whether or not to put pen to paper on a deal at Parkhead.
Mills goes on to claim that one such job could be relegation-threatened Newcastle United, whom the former Leeds United defender believes to be a “big club”, as well as one that is the subject of takeover talk, which could then allow Howe a “big budget” to work with.
However, after Celtic Insider relayed this report on Facebook, fans of Celtic flocked to have their say on the matter, with many appearing to be of the belief that Howe has taken too long to make a decision regarding his potential future at Celtic, suggesting that they no longer want the former Bournemouth boss to make the move to Glasgow.
Do you still want Howe at Celtic?
So, what exactly did these Celtic fans have to say in reaction to Danny Mills’ comments regarding Eddie Howe?
While these Celtic fans appear to blame Howe for the apparent lack of progress in his potential appointment as the Bhoys’ new manager, it should be pointed out that Mills’ comments are only hearsay, and it could quite easily be the club themselves who are the party putting the breaks on Howe’s move to Parkhead.
However, this is also simply an opinion, and only time will tell whether Howe does indeed go on to get the job at Celtic.
