Celtic supporters have been reacting on Twitter after a post revealed Eddie Howe’s proposed appointment has reportedly hit ‘several stumbling blocks’.
The Hoops have been without a permanent manager since Neil Lennon resigned from the Glasgow giants following a 1-0 defeat to Ross County back in February.
John Kennedy has been in interim charge since Lennon’s departure, and the search for his successor has seen several big names linked to the manager’s role at Parkhead.
However, it’s former Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe who has become the frontrunner in recent weeks, although, according to the Daily Record, the negotiations have come to a halt due to the 43-year-old’s insistence on bringing his own backroom staff to Celtic Park.
The report also claims that Howe’s request for Bournemouth’s Richard Hughes to be brought in as director of football could alter some of the Celtic hierarchy’s plans and the fans are clearly unhappy with delays.
“Lawwell really needs to sit this one out.”
“GIVE HIM WANT HE WANTS”
Celtic are currently 20 points off the pace in the Scottish Premiership, so whoever comes in over the summer will have a tough job on their hands.
