Loads of Celtic fans have been talking about a video involving Odsonne Edouard that recently emerged on social media.
Edouard recently featured for the France Under-21s side at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship game against Iceland.
The Celtic striker scored in the game, helping his side qualify for the next round of the competition. France won 2-0, as Matteo Guendouzi also scored for Les Espoirs.
Has Edouard had a bad season?
A video involving Edouard’s goal was relayed on Twitter by Everything Celtic. Many Hoops supporters made their views clear about it.
What did Celtic fans make of the Edouard goal?
“Composure seldom seen this season unfortunately when playing in the hoops.”
“Fraud of a professional.”
So far in the tournament, Edouard has impressed for the France Under-21s side. He has found the back of the net twice already and his side has lost once in three games. His first goal of the tournament came against Russia (as per Transfermarkt).
His goalscoring tally for the team is impressive, scoring 17 times in just 13 games.
“If only he had shown this composure 10 days ago…“
There’s a mixed reaction to this goal. Some Celtic fans loved his finish, while some are suggesting that Edouard should’ve done more of that in the Premiership campaign.
Having said that, Edouard has scored 16 times in the Premiership this season, getting three assists. He’s Celtic’s top goalscorer in the season and top goal contributor as well. He’s been their fourth-highest-rated player this term (as per WhoScored).
This shows his importance as a player and perhaps, Celtic fans should respect that.
