Some of the signings that Hammond made have been described as ‘underwhelming‘. Vasilis Barkas was signed from AEK Athens for £5 million but he hasn’t been in form. Meanwhile, the signings of Shane Duffy, and have been considered disappointing signings.

This clearly suggests that in the eyes of some, Hammond didn’t do a great job in recent seasons and because of that, it is understandable why Celtic fans aren’t disappointed about his exit.
