Lots of Celtic fans have been discussing a news update involving Fergal Harkin that emerged on social media.
Football Insider has recently reported about Harkin, saying that the Hoops are ‘deadset’ on signing the Manchester City man. And more so, they are ready to turn down Eddie Howe’s demands by hiring Harkin in the summer.
The report claims that Celtic don’t want to deviate from their plan of hiring Harkin and extensive talks have already been held. Harkin has been described as a ‘massive Hoops fan’ and work is being done to get the deal over the line.

This comes after it has already been reported that while Howe has an agreement in principle with Celtic, he has made a demand to the club about Richard Hughes. He wants the Bournemouth sporting director to be working with him at the club, but it is unclear what his role is going to be.
Howe has asked for certain assurances from Celtic before he starts managing the club. He’s already held a face-to-face meeting with Dermot Desmond.
While it has been previously stated that it is unclear what Hughes’ role may be at Celtic, there might still be a chance that Harkin and the Bournemouth sporting director can work together at Parkhead.
Since Harkin currently works at Man City, both of them could bring some good knowledge of the Premier League with them and that can benefit Celtic.
