Celtic fans on Twitter have been sharing their criticism for Hoops striker Odsonne Edouard and his latest performance for the club during their 6-0 win over Livingston in the SPFL.

Goals from James Forrest, Mohamed Elyounoussi, Ryan Christie, David Turnbull and an own goal from Jack Fitzwater secured the win for John Kennedy’s side after previously beating Falkirk in the Scottish Cup last weekend.

Celtic fans, can you get 8/8 on this quiz on forgotten players? First up: who is this?

Despite the win, and the fact that the Frenchman managed to pick up an assist during the game against Livingston, not many Hoops fans were happy with his efforts on the pitch, with many flocking to Twitter to share their thoughts and feelings on the matter.

So, what did these Celtic fans have to say about Edouard’s display against Livingston?

“Edouard just doesn’t look interested.”

@Jamie8419

“Edouard hasn’t done much today has he?”

@RealKaffo

“Turnbull and Edouard not at it but the difference with width is evident i hope forrest is fit for next week”

@CairneyMarc

“Another poor showing from Edouard today”

@TenMenWonTheLea

“Edouard was poor again today”

@DylonMurphy67

“Celtic will not miss Edouard”

@brianboru67

Since arriving at Celtic Park originally on a loan deal from French club Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, the striker, who is currently valued at £13.5 million, has gone on to make 162 appearances for Celtic, prior to the win against Livingston, in which he has managed to score 81 goals and provide 36 assists in the process (per Transfermarkt).

Looking at this bunch of tweets from this group of Celtic supporters, it’s clear to see that they were not impressed by what they saw from the 23-year-old in his latest game for the club.

Moving forward, unless Edouard can take the opportunities he gets until the end of the season to turn his form around, he could certainly find himself on the end of even more criticism from the Celtic faithful, or even out of the club altogether when the upcoming summer transfer window opens.
