Their poor form led to Neil Lennon resigning in February, leading to Kennedy taking charge on a temporary basis.
Under the 37-year-old’s tutelage, Celtic have won three of their six encounters in all competitions, but a 2-0 defeat at the hands of fierce rivals Rangers last time out brought more misery to an already wretched campaign.
Ahead of their upcoming clash with Aberdeen, Kennedy spoke to the press, where he promised changes in both personnel and performances: “We’ll make some changes in the coming games but with a consistency to go out to win the games and represent the club properly.”
However, it appears to be too little too late for the Celtic fans, who voiced their frustrations with the interim manager, as well as the players.
“How about the club start to represent the fans properly and stop taking us for mugs and an easy cash cow? First change would be get rid of Kennedy and get the new guy in with HIS OWN CHOICE of backroom staff.”
“Too little too late. Team have been a shambolic embarrassment and the sooner the clean out starts the better”
“JK is an absolute liability. Please…..represent us in these meaningless games! Rather you had done that when it mattered.”
“Should have been doing that for months now joke playing guys that don’t want wear the famous hooped jersey”
“John, I hope a change in the dugout is coming real soon too… time for you and Gavin to say farewell”
“Pity you can’t go out and represent the fans properly. What a shambles!”
