Wolves journalist Nathan Judah spoke of his confidence that Nuno Espirito Santo will still be at the club next season.

Reports have surfaced recently claiming that Nuno’s agent Jorge Mendes has been putting feelers out on behalf of his client about possibly leaving the club and taking over at Tottenham Hotspur following their decision to sack Jose Mourinho last week.

Wolves haven’t had the best of seasons this year, falling way off where they have been in previous seasons which has raised some doubts about his job stability, but speaking on the E&S Wolves Podcast, Judah felt that whilst he was confident Nuno would still be in a job next season, if he were to leave it would likely be on his terms rather than being forced out by the club:

“I’m fairly confident that Nuno will be in charge next season. And I think that even if he was not in charge next season, I don’t think – in fact I’d be stunned if it would be because Fosun have sacked him. I’m absolutely 100% certain of that. It will be you know, if there’s an offer there or whatever and you know, things happen, but I would very much bet on Nuno being there next season.”

TIF Thoughts on Nathan Judah’s comments about Nuno Espirito Santo’s future at Wolves…

Judah seems confident that Nuno will stay at the club this summer, but even if he did leave the club, there shouldn’t really be too much animosity because he has given the club a fantastic few seasons, taking them from the Championship to the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

And whilst this season has been something of a blip, partly down to the injury suffered by Raul Jimenez, at least he has helped put the club in a fantastic position going forward where they can be an established Premier League side rather than having to worry too much about their future.
