In an exclusive interview with This Is Futbol, Steve Bull, who scored 306 goals for Wolves during his career, has given Nuno Espirito Santo his full backing claiming all he needs is a little bit of money.
Nuno was brought to Wolves by Jorge Mendes in 2017 with the club still lingering in the Championship, however he guided them to the title in his first full season at the club.
Does Nuno need backing this summer?
Yes!
No!
Since they won promotion back to the Premier League, Nuno has guided Wolves to two seventh-place finishes in a row before this difficult campaign which has seen Wolves pick up several key injuries.
Speaking on why Nuno is still the man for the job at Wolves and what he needs to take the club to the next level, Bull told This Is Futbol:
“All day long Nuno is the right man. I think he’s setting something in stone and this summer if they give him some money I think he’ll be happy.
“The more players the better for Nuno I think because he wants a few more new faces as he’s been dealing with the same players for the last two or three years, and he needs some more help with players coming in.”
It has been reported by The Athletic that Fosun International will look to cut back on spending this summer, which will be a blow to Nuno’s potential plans.
Wolves have been linked with Josh Brownhill from Burnley as they go in search of a box-to-box midfielder who can eventually replace Joao Moutinho.
