To kick off this quiz on Romain Saiss, what squad number does the defensive midfielder currently wear for the Old Gold?

Fernandes, who is valued at £81 million (as per Transfermarkt), signed for the Red Devils in January 2020, and he has been a revelation, scoring 35 goals and providing 21 assists in 67 games for the club.

However, it seems as if Bull thinks that the Old Gold potentially missed out on signing the Portuguese international and hopes that Fernandes is not trying to convince Pedro Neto to join the Red Devils.

He said: “I think he went under the radar for [Jorge] Mendes otherwise, I think he would have definitely been on our scale, and we definitely would have had him all day long.

“They say things to each other on international camps because players talk, agents talk, everyone talks, and I can’t see any reason why Neto would want to go.”

TIF Thoughts on Fernandes and Wolves…

Bull seems very confident that Wolves could have signed Fernandes, but given that before he joined Manchester United, the likes of Tottenham Hotspur were looking at him, we are not so sure.

However, given just how good Fernandes has been since he moved to the Premier League, we can imagine that Wolves fans will be gutted to hear that they could have signed the 26-year-old.

It will be interesting to see what summer signings Wolves make as they have not had the best season in the Premier League after consecutive seventh-place finishes.

They also need to hope that Fernandes doesn’t convince Neto to join him after the 21-year-old was linked with a move to Old Trafford.
