Sky Sports journalist Charlotte Marsh has been sharing her thoughts on Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, his future with the north London club and a possible summer transfer away from them.

This comes after Marsh made an appearance on a recent episode of The Sky Sports Football Podcast where she spoke about a range of topics concerning the Premier League and its clubs.

Spurs have had quite a few odd players over the years, but can you remember them? Here is the first one, who is this former Tottenham man?

On the subject of Kane, whose future at Spurs has been called into question in recent weeks, Marsh had this to say about the striker and where he potentially could end up playing next season, as Manchester City were touted as a possible destination.

She said: “I think there’s a good argument for him going to City. He’s going to be watching City having 21 shots [during the Carabao Cup final] and he’s going to be going, ‘yeah, I want in on that,’ and he probably would have buried quite a few more than City did too, so they probably could have run away with it.

“[Sergio] Aguero’s leaving, so it’s the perfect time to bring in that new striker and Kane will do it for you. He will absolutely do it for you. I think at the moment, City is probably top of the list, but if he does leave Tottenham, he is going to be unpopular, probably, with the Tottenham fans.

“Some of them, hopefully, you think would understand, but it would be a shame to see him leave Tottenham, but if he is going to want to win something, this is the time to make that move.”

Kane, who is a product of Spurs’youth academy, made his senior debut for the north London club back in 2011 under former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp.

Since then, the 27-year-old, who is currently valued at £108 million, has made 331 appearances for the Lilywhites across all competitions, in which he has scored 219 goals and provided 46 appearances along the way (per Transfermarkt).

TIF Thoughts on Charlotte Marsh’s comments on a potential move to Man City for Kane…

Given how the Englishman has managed to score 164 goals in 240 Premier League appearances for Spurs, it’s easy to see why Marsh thinks he could be a suitable replacement for Sergio Aguero at Manchester City who is leaving the club in the summer and has 181 Premier League goals to his name.

Would you be disappointed if Kane joined another English team this summer?

However, with City manager Pep Guardiola suggesting his club may not sign a replacement for Aguero this summer as they do not have the finances to sign someone like Kane, perhaps this could put to bed any chance of the striker leaving Spurs for City this summer.
