Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the latest claim surrounding their search for a new permanent manager.

Daniel Levy sacked Jose Mourinho last week leaving former midfielder Ryan Mason as the interim manager for the remainder of the season.

One name which has been linked with the permanent role is Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers and despite the 48-year-old playing down the interest, it is reported by the Daily Mail, Spurs are hoping he changes his mind.

Rodgers has his Leicester side sitting third in the Premier League table with just five games remaining and has been linked with a move to the Lilywhites in the past.

In response to the claim from the Daily Mail, Spurs fans flocked to a tweet relaying the news to show their embarrassment in hearing their club hold out for a man who has publicly dismissed the rumours.

“We hold out for Rodgers and Ten Hag goes elsewhere, the scriptwriters are in their sabotage bag this season”

With just five games remaining of the 2020/21 Premier League campaign, Spurs currently sit in seventh spot but could fall down to eighth place if Everton win their game in hand.

Alasdair Gold has already claimed Spurs are hoping to announce a new manager before the end of the current season, so it could make for an interesting few weeks in north London.
