A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts at the latest claim to emerge surrounding their former manager, Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese manager was sacked by Spurs on Monday, bringing an end to his 17-month stint at the helm of the north London side.
According to The Telegraph, Mourinho told some players a few ‘home truths’ as he said his final goodbyes after being relieved of his duties earlier this week.
Were Spurs right to get rid of Mourinho when they did?
Yes
No
Spurs currently sit in sixth place following their 2-1 victory over Southampton on Wednesday night under their interim boss Ryan Mason – albeit having played an extra game than Liverpool.
The Tottenham faithful leapt at the opportunity to give their final thoughts on Mourinho following the claim from The Telegraph, with many slamming their former manager’s attitude.
“Vile. Hope all the Jose apologists read this. Regardless of if the players needed to hear it, you leave with dignity. Here’s a home truth Jose: You’re past it”
Interim boss Mason will take charge of Spurs for just the second time on Sunday as they make the trip across London to play in the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City as they aim to end their 13-year trophy drought.
Going by the reaction of these Spurs fans, it is apparent Mourinho has left a sour taste in their mouths and this report has certainly not improved their opinions on the 58-year-old.
