A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to show their delight at an update on Heung-min Son’s injury ahead of their game against Newcastle United on the weekend.
The South Korean forward suffered a hamstring injury in the early stages of their north London derby game against Arsenal last month which saw him substituted after just 19 minutes.
However, the club tweeted out some photos of the 28-year-old who has returned to training at Hotspur Way ahead of their trip to the north east to face relegation-fighting Newcastle United on Sunday.
Son has netted 13 goals in the Premier League alone this season, provided nine assists in his 28 league appearances, and fortunately for Spurs, has only missed one league game since sustaining the injury (via Transfermarkt).
“He’s BACK! I miss him so much”
Do you think Son will play against NUFC?
Yes
No
Spurs conceded late on against the Magpies the last time these two sides met back in September as Callum Wilson’s 97th-minute penalty earned Steve Bruce’s side a point – which caused a VAR storm after the game.
All in all, it is pretty clear the Spurs faithful are delighted to see their South Korean forward back in training and are hoping he has recovered in time to be able to play in their game at St. James’ Park on Sunday.
