Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer news surrounding Lilywhites striker Harry Kane.

This comes after Spurs news Twitter account @Daily_Hotspur shared a post on their page relaying news originally revealed by football journalist Julien Maynard via Telefoot.

Spurs have had quite a few odd players over the years, but can you remember them? Here is the first one, who is this former Tottenham man?

Maynard claimed that former Tottenham and current Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino has personally contacted Kane regarding his plans for next season if Spurs fail to qualify for the Champions League this term.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Tottenham fans, who were quick to share their thoughts on this latest claim.

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say in response to this latest news concerning Kane and Pochettino?

“You can’t do this to us Poch”

@may03272

“Can’t see Kane wanting to play in France.”

@GEORGIE_35

“If Poch signs Kane I will lose all respect for him”

@thfcjosh_

“Poch you can’t do this to us man come on leave it out”

@N17nath

“Why would he go and play in a league in which the PSG players find boring and have no motivation? …Would he just play CL games?”

@peter_triplett

“Oh”

@GeddesGrandson

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems that some of these Spurs fans would not be happy to see Kane potentially make the move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer if that is what Pochettino may have been asking Kane about, whereas other Spurs supporters don’t think the striker would sign for the French club anyway.

Do you think Kane would want to go to PSG this summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Given how the 27-year-old has made more career appearances under Pochettino than any other manager he’s played under throughout his career with 242 and managed to score 169 goals in that time, it’s understandable why Pochettino could possibly be interested in reuniting with the striker in Paris.

Also, with it being recently reported that Kane could ask to leave the north London club this summer if they don’t secure Champions League football next season, PSG could be viable candidates for his signature since they should be able to offer the Englishman what he is clearly seeking.
