A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to show their excitement at Alasdair Gold’s latest tweet regarding the club’s search for a new permanent manager.

Daniel Levy sacked manager Jose Mourinho last week just days before their Carabao Cup final clash at Wembley Stadium against Manchester City.

Spurs journalist Gold, tweeted on Wednesday saying: “Understand Spurs are aiming to announce their next manager before the end of this season. So just over three weeks to get that done and dusted.”

Former Spurs ace Ryan Mason has taken temporary charge of the Lilywhites, but the 29-year-old was unable to get his hands on the League Cup in what was just his second game as a first-team manager.

Various managers have been linked with the role of permanent manager with Erik ten Hag, Oliver Glasner and Massimiliano Allegri some of the standout names.

Spurs fans flocked to Gold’s tweet, with many showing their delight at the journalists latest claim in their search for a new manager.

“Great news if we can. Need to the New Boss to get working ASAP”

Tottenham currently sit in seventh spot, however, should Everton win their game in hand then the Lilywhites will find themselves slumped down in eighth place with five games to play.

All in all, the reaction of these Spurs fans suggest they are impressed to hear Levy is aiming to get their new permanent manager confirmed by the end of the season which would give him the full summer with his new side.
