The 23-year-old joined Spurs from boyhood club Estudiantes back in 2017 but struggled to secure a regular spot in the starting XI, making just 32 appearances for the club.
Foyth departed the north London outfit on loan last summer as he searched for regular first-team action and has enjoyed a successful season with Spanish outfit Villarreal, featuring 25 times for the Yellow Submarines.
In an interview with 90min.es, the Argentina international opened up on Spurs boss Jose Mourinho, revealing his public persona is far from the truth: “Everyone thinks he’s a bad person, but he’s very close to the group, talking to all the players. I was surprised when he arrived because we would all watch his press conferences and say ‘uh, not this …’, but he is a very good person.”
However, not all of the Spurs supporters were entirely convinced by the South American’s assessment of the former Chelsea boss.

Mourinho has seen his relationship with the likes of Gareth Bale and Dele Alli come under scrutiny this season, and the Tottenham boss is renowned for have a fiery connection with some of his players in the past, so the views of these Spurs supporters is understandable.
