Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been reacting on Twitter after a report emerged revealing that Daniel Levy wants an attack-minded manager to replace Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese boss was sacked after 17 months in charge of Spurs on Monday morning, just six days before he was set to lead them out in the Carabao Cup final.

Mourinho’s appointment came after Mauricio Pochettino was dismissed by Levy after the Argentine coach had failed to win any silverware during his four-and-a-half-year stay in north London, but his exciting and entertaining style contributed to him being very popular with the fans.

His style was in sharp contrast to the pragmatism that Mourinho employed during his time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and according to The Guardian, Levy wants to revert back to the brand of football employed under the new Paris Saint-Germain manager.

The Spurs chairman has been a controversial character throughout his time at the club, and it’s clear that a large section of the supporters are running out of patience with Levy’s decision-making.

“Levy had that and didn’t back him.”

“We go in circles…”

@mangodafooltv

“He’s a fool. He should have thought about attacking football when he enjoyed Mourinho”

“So Poch?”

@MattFaulconer10

“Who cares!! We don’t need a world-class manager!! We have qualified for Europe for 23 years on the spin now”
