Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter after it relayed the reported shortlist of managers being lined up to replace Jose Mourinho.

Spurs are searching for a new boss after Daniel Levy relieved the 58-year-old of his duties following a 17-month spell in charge.

Mourinho’s time in north London didn’t go to plan, with the former Real Madrid and Inter man leaving Spurs in seventh place in the Premier League table at the time of his departure.

His exit has led to rumours circulating over who could succeed the enigmatic Portuguese manager, with several big names linked to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium side.

However, Football.london reporter Alasdair Gold has disclosed who is and is not on Levy’s shortlist, claiming Julian Nagelsmann, Erik ten Hag, Brendan Rodgers, Max Allegri and Graham Potter are the chosen ones, and it’s a list that the Spurs fans are clearly excited by.

“You literally couldn’t ask for any more. Shut down all the stinkers like Southgate and Howe but said he are interested in Ten Haag and Potter”

@josh_wiggan

“This is a quality quality list to be fair. Very excited.”

@FtblJay2

“Any of these 5 would be a dream”

@willrowens

“What a list we’re finally getting our club back”

@Talib2busy

“Lovely, take any of them”

@ajaay10

“Excellent. I’d be happy with any aside from Potter, who I wouldn’t hate, but wouldn’t excite me either”

@AryehLender

Gold also claimed that despite multiple sources linking Marcelino, Maurizio Sarri, Gareth Southgate and Eddie Howe to the managerial vacancy at Tottenham Hotspur, the quartet are of no interest to the capital club.
